Let’s go.
Ryse Brand And Supplements
The RYSE supplements brand was launched in the fall of 2017. It is a sports nutrition company offering products such as pre-workout supplements, protein powders, and BCAAs.
They currently offer many different pre workout supplements. They have the Element Series, Project Blackout, Core Series, and Signature Series. Each series comes in different flavors.
In this article I review one pre workout from Ryse supplements Core Series, the Ryse Ring Pop Loaded Pre.
All The Flavors and Ingredients
The Ryse supplements Core series offer 6 different flavor options: Bazooka Grape (Grape), Kool-Aid (Tropical Punch), Ring Pop (Cherry), Freedom Rocks (Bomb Pop), Tiger’s Blood (Strawberry&Cononut), and Smarties (Candy).
The Supplement Facts

Here’s a short explanation of what these Ryse pre workout ingredients do:
Choline:
This nutrient plays an important role in the health of your brain, memory, and your muscle function. It’s also known for improving focus and mental clarity.
Sodium:
It is an essential mineral and it helps with fluid regulation. It helps your body maintain electrolyte balance. This helps improve your muscle function and endurance.
Sodium should not be mistaken for general table salt which is about 40% sodium and 60% chloride.
Potassium:
This is also an essential mineral and has a similar role as sodium in helping regulate fluids in your body.
Another role is to help maintain blood pressure at a healthy level and ensure muscle and nerve function.
L-Citrulline:
An amino acid that has a role in improving your blood flow. This can to amazing muscle pumps in the gym and improve your endurance.
Beta-Alanine:
An amino acid that helps reduce muscle fatigue. Less muscle fatigue allows you to push harder for longer in the gym. We love that!
Caffeine Anhydrous:
Known to give you a boost of energy and focus. This form of caffeine is dehydrated and more concentrated than regular caffeine.
ZumXR:
Also caffeine but the only difference is ;that it’s time released. This will prevent energy crashes after the gym and keep that boost in energy going.
Theobromine:

L-Theanine:
Stress reducer and improves your mental focus and clarity.
Vincamine/Thinkamine:
It will also help in giving you mental focus and clarity.
My Ryse Pre-Workout Ring Pop Experience
How about the flavor, smell, and mixability? Well…If you’re not familiar with the Ring Pop Loaded Pre that is inspired by the candy of the same name and is a cherry flavor.
My First Time Trying Ryse Ring Pop

I was definitely skeptical when buying the Ring Pop flavor.
The first time was a fun experience. When I opened the container, it was a white powder with little red specs.
I would describe the smell as smelling the inside of a jar of cherry juice powder mix.
I only took a half (7 grams) and mixed it with about 13oz (400ml) in my shaker, the liquid looked white and cloudy, and I would have preferred a more red tone like the candy. It mixed very well and easily.
Took a sip…way too sweet for me. I added another 7oz (200ml), and mixed it again, and was the perfect sweetness level.
So does it taste like the real Ring Pop? Yes, I’d say it actually does which really surprised me and I enjoyed that a lot.
It did have a light artificial flavor like most pre workouts do, so not a deal breaker at all.
My Experience After Using It For 5 Months
I still enjoy the flavor, I generally use about 10 grams, not the 14 grams per serving for my most intense days at the gym.
I take half a scoop (7 grams) on most other days seeing as the caffeine content is too much for me.
Now, let’s talk about its effectiveness after 5 months of using it, this is why I drink it, to begin with.

Effect on Pump and Performance
This is one of the biggest things I noticed, I always got decent pumps that are great during workouts.
My muscles would feel look thicker and full with blood, this is thanks to the L-Citrulline that improves blood flow. This of course feels amazing and makes me feel stronger!
When it comes to my exercise performance I get more of the beast mode to want to get that last rep in.
So I’d say it definitely notice a significant improvement in my performance during workouts compared to when I don’t take it.
Focus and Energy
About 10 minutes after drinking the pre workout, I start noticing the difference.
This is mostly thanks to the good amount of caffeine, giving me a very nice boost in energy, I notice it in the form of readiness to hit the weights and start to kick in.
During most workouts, I felt more driven to keep going and not resting longer than necessary. The energy would keep me during the whole hour of my workout.
With some other pre – workouts I would notice a drop around 40-45 minutes into the workout.
This makes a major difference for me as that’s when it matters the most given that I am already tired at that point.
Experience Post Workout
I did not experience a dip or crash in my energy level with the pre workout. For me, it generally speaking is an issue with others.
There are a few I’d call infamous for giving me a crash afterward. Luckily Ryse supplements pre workout has done a great job in this.
Side Effects
One of the side effects I got was when I took a bit more than one whole scoop I felt jittery due to the very high caffeine content in the scoop. I should have just followed the direction on the tub.
This is very different per person so you need to assess your own caffeine tolerance when trying out the supplements.
Luckily I didn’t experience any other side effects such as an upset stomach or other digestive issues.
Cost Per Serving
The price for one Ryse pre workout is definitely higher than other pre workouts I have purchased before.
Does the product justify the cost? Depends.
Every tub of Ryse supplements pre workout has 30 servings and costs about $40. So each serving will cost about $1.33.
With many other pre – workouts I have used I would have to use 1.5 to 2 scoops to feel the desired effects. With Ryse I use max 1 scoop and usually use slightly less and get great results.
So while this may look pricey, keeping what I just shared, it’s lower and makes it worth it for me.

Who Is Ryse NOT For
The answer is very simple. If you are a 100% complete beginner to these supplements, then you are better off starting with a supplement like C4 Original.
Read here about the best flavors of C4 Original.
Also, advanced users might want to consider other pre workouts that meet their specific needs and fitness goals.
Choose a pre workout with the necessary ingredients that will make the most difference in your workouts.
Try to start with one that has less caffeine and other stimulants for energy that might make you otherwise feel like your head is spinning.
Who IS Ryse For
This is for anyone that has tried a pre workout before and wants something that packs a punch.
The RYSEe pre workout ingredients are proven to be effective, and that wants to feel turned on in the gym.
It’s a perfect choice for athletes past the beginner phase. This is definitely a pre workout to try!
I would suggest, just like the package says, starting with half a scoop and going from there!
My Final Verdict For This Pre Workout
So, I’ve been using Ryse pre-workout Ring Pop for 5 months now, what’s my final verdict? Well, I have to say, I’m impressed and love using it.
The flavor is great, the combination of ingredients work and are effective, the cost per serving is decent and I didn’t get any side effects when using no more than 1 serving.
It’s not a cheap pre workout, but again, you only need one scoop max compared to other ones where you might need 1.5 scoops or more.
I think Ryse pre – workout is a quality pre workout for anyone looking for the real deal. Again, I would not suggest complete beginners use it.
I love the pump it gives me, how I feel my energy level increase, and a much better focus and performance.
I say…give it try, it will give you some serious results in the gym!
